We make decisions based on the development of our tenants and the best interests of Borlänge. We aim to develop Borlänge as a city and municipality, and therefore we assist companies and organizations in finding the right properties and premises, tailoring them to fit perfectly. We manage approximately 50 different buildings with about 145,000 square meters of space.

Fastighets AB Hushagen is now looking for a Property Controller who wants to take a central and business-oriented role in the company's continued development. This is an exciting position in a company that is driven by the needs of the business community, where long-term societal benefits go hand in hand with business acumen and economic sustainability.

About the position

As a Property Controller, you will have overall responsibility for the company's property economic analyses and financial management. You will develop and refine analyses, models, and reports – also with the support of AI – focusing on business, market, and long-term value creation.

You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders such as tenants, investors, the municipality, consultants, and contractors. The role also requires you to be comfortable presenting analyses, budgets, and decision-making materials within the municipal group and to the board and management.

The position requires good competence in economics and preferably property economics. Knowledge and experience in property law, property transactions, and management of commercial properties are advantageous.

Your main responsibilities:

• Actively contribute to the company's goals, strategies, and business plans
• Be responsible for property economic analyses, investment assessments, and calculations
• Participate in and follow up on investments, project budgets, and profitability
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, follow-up, and year-end closing
• Be the company's representative in selected projects and collaborations
• Participate in acquisitions and sales of properties
• Attend annual meetings and group meetings, preparing materials and presentations for these

Your profile

We are looking for someone who is self-assured and enjoys a role with overall responsibility. You combine strategic thinking with operational capability and have a good understanding of property economics, investments, and financial analysis. The role involves many contact points, so we prefer someone who is communicative, relationship-building, and has a strong commitment to people, development, and economics.

We would like you to have:

• Education in property economics, property management, urban development, or equivalent work experience that the employer deems comparable
• Experience in similar roles/industries
• Good understanding of budgeting, forecasting, follow-up, and year-end closing
• Industry knowledge and interest in urban development issues
